MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month from 9:30am-11:30am.

For more information, please contact the church office or Tiffany Thornton at tiffany.thornton9@gmail.com. Additional information on MOPS International can also be found at www.mops.org

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed for mothers with children under school age, infant through kindergarten.  MOPS meets the needs of 75,000 moms around the world.  MOPS meetings include socializing, a speaker, small-group discussions, and refreshments.

Childcare is included in your local dues and is provided for babies through five years old, but children must be registered in advance. Our MOPPETS enjoy fun and learning in a safe environment while mom gets some time away. They are divided in classrooms by age groups and are cared for by qualified childcare workers and volunteers.  While moms enjoy our meeting, our MOPPETS enjoy playtime, snack, crafts, outdoor time (except for our youngest MOPPETS), and Bible based fun and learning.  The MOPPET area opens at 9:15 to allow children time to settle in their rooms before the mothers begin their meeting.  We are always looking for additional volunteers to care for and love these children.

Membership (MOPS Int’l - $23.95 per year / local dues - $40.00 per semester)

All mothers of preschoolers in MOPS groups are registered for MOPS International Membership through their individual groups. This membership includes a one year subscription to MomSense, the magazine, weekly mom-e-mails, a reusable MOPS tote, and a few other goodies.  A welcome packet will be mailed directly to you from MOPS Int’l.  Your local dues cover the cost of childcare, craft supplies, meeting supplies, and basic costs of running our group.  The MOPS Int’l membership cost is due upon registration; our local dues can be paid in one or two installments, beginning in September.  Please know we do not want financial reasons to keep anyone from attending MOPS; if this is a concern for you, please let us know.  We also ask that our Moms bring a snack to share on a rotating basis and volunteer as needed, usually up to two times per year, in our MOPPET classrooms.
