Primetimers
The Primetimers of Markham Woods Presbyterian Church promotes fellowship for anyone age 50 and up. Get togethers are educational and entertaining. Primetimers normally meet on the second Thursday of each month at noon in Anderson Hall unless a field trip is planned. Scheduled for the upcoming 2010-2011 season are the following events:
OCTOBER 14 (Thursday)- Catered luncheon at noon in Anderson Hall with Susan Carey, representative from the Festival of Orchestras, as our speaker.
NOVEMBER 11 (Thursday)- Trip to the Daytona Beach museum. Lunch will be “dutch treat” at Aunt Catfish's Restaurant.
DECEMBER (TBA)- Holiday trip to the First Baptist Church of Orlando for the annual "Singing Christmas Trees."
JANUARY 13 (Thursday)- Catered luncheon at noon in Anderson Hall with Shelburn Wilkes and his "Parade of Presidents."
FEBRUARY 10 (Thursday)- Catered luncheon at noon in Anderson Hall with horticulturalist, Tom MacCubbin bringing his expertise into "Potting, Planting, and Pruning."
MARCH 10 (Thursday)- Field trip to the Presidents Hall of Fame in Clermont, FL followed by a “dutch” luncheon at the nearby Panera Bread.
APRIL 14 (Thursday)- Luncheon excursion on the Starlite Princess Paddlewheeler out of Dayton Beach.
MAY 12 (Thursday)- Catered luncheon by Toojay's in Anderson Hall at noon with entertainment provided by Wayne adn Nancy Joiner.
